Revaz Javelidze, Head of the Government Administration, opened Sustainable Public Service: Career and Professional Development, an event celebrating United Nations Public Service Day.
The Head of the Government Administration, in his welcome speech, wished a Happy UN Public Service Day and success to the event’s participants.
According to Revaz Javelidze, creating a sustainable public service meeting contemporary challenges and needs is the Georgian Government’s priority, and the Government, under Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s leadership, is working actively toward ensuring the wellbeing of public servants.
Revaz Javelidze thanked the Government of the United Kingdom, the UN Development Program, the EU, and other partners for their considerable assistance in the development of Georgia’s public service.
Teimuraz Chikhradze, Head of the Civil Service Bureau, also addressed the event’s guests with a welcome speech.
The event marking UN Public Service Day was organized by the Civil Service Bureau, with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and UK Aid by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Within the scope of the event, panel discussions were held, with their participants discussing matters pertaining to career and professional development.
