Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze recently met with representatives of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis.
According to an official statement from the ministry, during the meeting, both parties addressed the pressing challenges facing Georgia’s healthcare sector. They also explored opportunities for the development of the pharmaceutical industry, with a particular focus on improving access to medicines and introducing innovative medical products.
The minister emphasised that effective collaboration with the private sector is vital to ensuring patients have access to high-quality, innovative medicines. Such partnerships are essential for enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of Georgia’s healthcare system.
Concluding the discussions, the parties examined potential frameworks for future cooperation, aimed at fostering the implementation of pioneering healthcare projects across the country, the ministry added.
