The Georgian Health Ministry’s Professional Development Council temporarily suspended certification for seven physicians.
The Council met on Tuesday to review 11 physicians’ cases investigated by the Medical and Pharmaceutic Activities Regulatory Agency. The cases concern the quality of medical services, potential mistakes, professional accountability, and unethical patient care.
In 2022, the Council considered 296 cases, having held 219 physicians professionally liable, state licenses withdrawn in six cases, and 56 doctors suspended for various periods.
