Inflation in Georgia continues to rise, reaching 4.6% in August, the highest level recorded in the past two years.
According to Geostat, the main drivers of price increases were food (up 10%) and healthcare (up 9.3%).
Within the healthcare sector, the sharpest increase was observed in hospital services, where prices surged by 26% year-on-year. Prices for medicines, doctor consultations, and dental services also climbed notably.

Experts warn that rising healthcare costs, combined with higher food prices, are putting increasing pressure on household budgets and living standards in Georgia.
