Levan Osepaishvili, director of the tourist company "Checkin-in Travel" told BM.GE that high demand was observed in the direction of the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Maldives during the New Year.

"Europe, where the so-called Christmas markets are active, was the most popular among Georgian vacationers during the New Year period, including the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. We had a lot of holidaymakers, who wanted to spend the New Year in the Maldives.

It is worth noting that after the period of Covid-19, the demand for external tours is increasing every year. The "dead month" no longer exists, all seasons have the same results," - notes the director of "Check-in Travel".

Levan Osepaishvili talks about spring-summer preparations, and as he says, pre-bookings have already started. Among the popular destinations are Turkey and Egypt.

"In spring-summer, bookings have started in the direction of Egypt. Also in the direction of Turkey, Antalya. The initial data we have is that prices will rise, albeit modestly. Cruises are also actively booked, for April and May," he says.
