Georgian honey producer Hoby expects sales to grow by around 80% in 2026, founder Mikheil Chighladze told BM.GE. He attributed the expected increase mainly to the company’s expanded presence in retail chains, with Hoby products added to the Gvirila network this year and Ori Nabiji about a month ago.

“We now have a wider retail network where we can sell our products, and we believe sales will increase by around 80% thanks to these additions,” Chighladze said. He added that the company has kept prices unchanged this year to keep its products accessible to consumers.

Hoby also plans to increase production to around 100–120 tonnes of honey this year, roughly double its previous output. Chighladze said the company expects to further double capacity to around 200 tonnes next year if demand continues to grow at the current pace.

To meet rising demand, Hoby plans to expand its network of partner beekeepers and increase the volume of honey purchased from them. Its own apiaries currently account for around 20% of total production, with the remaining volume sourced from partner beekeepers. The company has operated since 2020 and mainly sources honey from mountainous villages in Racha and Imereti.
