December bookings at Holiday Inn Telavi remain below expectations, as travelers increasingly make shorter-term reservations. Hotel founder Shalva Eristavi told BM.GE that this makes it difficult to forecast occupancy for the New Year period, although he expects demand to rise as the holidays approach.
Summer occupancy increased by around 7–10% year-on-year, with more international visitors from Europe, the UK, China and other Asian countries. A tennis tournament also helped attract a diverse range of guests.
Individual bookings grew compared with last year, while two football teams are scheduled to stay at the hotel in November. Eristavi said he could not identify the specific reasons behind the summer growth.
