Last year, 110 tons of honey worth USD 762 thousand were sold outside the country. The numbers reflected in the official statistics reveal that the exporting volume of products has decreased by 57% in a year, while the decrease in terms of value amounted to 35%.
According to Geostat, in addition to the decrease in honey exports last year, the value of products in the international market has increased.
In 2023, honey from Georgia was exported to 15 destinations, and the main exporting market is France, which accounted for 37.2% of the exported products last year.

In 2023, Georgia bought honey from a total of 6 countries, and the main importing country was France, 22.3% of the honey imports accounted for this country.
