According to the August Hotel Price Index prepared by the PMC Research Center, accommodation prices increased across all hotel categories in Georgia. Following an almost 7% year-on-year increase, average prices were as follows: family-type hotels - GEL 134; three-star hotels - GEL 203; four-star hotels - GEL 298; and five-star hotels - GEL 598.
By region, the highest annual price increases were recorded in Imereti at 15%, Racha at 13%, and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti at 12.8%.
In the five-star hotel segment, the highest average prices were recorded in Guria at GEL 1,081, followed by Kakheti at GEL 684 and Tbilisi at GEL 668.
The PMC study is based on an analysis of prices for standard double rooms at 568 three-, four- and five-star hotels and 371 family-type hotels registered on Booking.com.
