Georgia bought 18.8 thousand tons of chocolate and other products containing cocoa worth USD 76.2 million as of January-November 2023.

Compared to the same period of last year, imports have significantly increased in value, in contrast to volume, which indicates an increase in the value of the product. In 11 months of last year, imports amounted to USD 65.7 million [18 thousand tons].

Georgia imports chocolate mainly from Russia. In 11 months of this year, Georgia bought 7,680 tons of chocolate and other products containing cocoa worth USD 24.6 million in Russia. Among the main importing markets are Ukraine and Turkey.

Ukraine - $9.5 million [2,604 tons]

Turkey - $8.4 million [1,942 tons]

Poland - $6.4 million [1,442 tons]

As for exports, the exports of chocolate and other finished products containing cocoa from Georgia increased to a record this year. If in 11 months of last year Georgia sold 992 tons of products worth 4.1 million dollars on export markets, this year this figure has increased to USD 7.3 million [1,351 tons].
