Georgia exported commodities USD 470.6 million worth in August 2022, which is 40% or USD 135 million more compared to the previous year. During August, Georgia's imports stood at USD 1.2 billion, which is USD 344 million (39.6%) more than the previous year, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Geostat's report does not show which commodities caused the increase in exports. Detailed data will be published on September 19.
In the 8 months of 2022, Georgia's exports stood at USD 3.57 billion, which is 37% more than the previous year.
Direct imports amounted to USD 8.36 billion, which is 36% more compared to the previous year.
