Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili appointed Zurab Azarashvili as the new Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. The PM noted that “the new Health Minister was brought up in a family of doctors”.
Zurab Azarashvili moved to the state sector from March 2020, earlier he worked on the position of the commercial director of TeraBank.
As of his personal property declaration, Azarashvili earned a total of GEL 284,000 in 2020. He took most of the money - GEL 174,870 while working in a bank. In March 2020, he moved to the public sector and was appointed as the director of Delta. During his tenure at both companies, he received a salary of GEL 109,204.
In February 2021, Zurab Azarashvili took the position of Deputy Defense Minister.
