From January 1, 2021, the increased electricity tariff was introduced in Georgia. Electricity tariffs for legal entities were increased by 70%, due to which the Government of Georgia decided to subsidize electricity for food production partially.
The subsidy will cover 50% of the increased value of the tariff. Entrepreneurs had until January 27, 2021, to register applications in the government-created registration system for subsidy recipients. However, as it turned out, part of the business sector did not have information about this registration form, so they were left out of the subsidy.
The report on implementing the first quarter of the 2021 budget shows that the Ministry of Economy has spent 1.3 million GEL on subsidizing 50% of the tariff increase.

110-35 sq.m. - Old tariff 16.11 tetri per kilowatt; New tariff - 27.37 tetri, increase of 11.26 tetri;
10-6-3.3 sq.m. - Old tariff 16,882 tetri per kilowatt; New tariff - 29,646 tetri, increase of 12,764 tetri;
380-220 sq.m. - old tariff 21.219 tetri per kilowatt; New tariff - 32.831 tetri, increase of 11.612 tetri.
Tariffs for subscribers of the "Energo-Pro" network from 2021 are:
110-35 sq.m. - Old tariff 14.86 tetri per kilowatt; New tariff - 28,267 tetri, increase of 13,407 tetri;
10-6-3.3 sq.m. - Old tariff 16,251 tetri per kilowat; New tariff - 30,879 tetri, increase of 14,628 tetri;
380-220 - old tariff 21.083 tetri per kilowatt; New tariff - 31.96 tetri, increase of 10.877 tetri.
