"Tav Urban Georgia", operator of Tbilisi International Airport, published its annual financial report for 2022.
According to the document, last year the income received by the airport increased by GEL 74 million amounting to GEL 234 million. The profitability of TAV Georgia improved dramatically. The airport earned a net profit of GEL 117 million last year, which was an increase of GEL 42 million. Accordingly, the company's net profit margin amounted to 50%.
In 2022, the airport served 3,526,373 passengers, which was an increase of 78% y-o-y, although it was down by 19% from pre-pandemic 2019.
The main source of revenue for Tbilisi Airport is the airport fee, which totals to USD 24 per passenger.
TAV Urban Georgia is a member of "TAV Airports Holding", which started operating in Georgia in 2005 and will carry out its activities until 2027.
