According to the budget performance report, the Georgian government has spent 64.3 million GEL on quarantine zones for the first 9 months of 2020.
As of the document, 487 different quarantine agreements were signed with various hotels during this period. However, a total of 84 thousand people were in the mandatory quarantine.
“LEPL - National Tourism Administration has implemented mandatory quarantine for Georgian citizens (83,831 citizens from March 10 to September 30) arrived from the high-risk areas nominated by the World Health Organization. During the reporting period, 487 contracts were signed and 64.3 million GEL was spent on quarantine zones for the first 9 months of 2020”, budget performance report reads.
