The National Bank has published the statistics of foreign exchange reserves for January. According to the document, the volume of the reserves amounted to USD 4.9 billion, which was actually equal to the reserves of December (0.05% less).
During the last year, the volume of foreign exchange reserves increased by USD 821 million or by 20%.
USD 4.425 billion from the international reserves accounts for the foreign exchange reserves. Of which, USD 2.88 billion is invested in securities, while 1.5 billion is foreign currency in cash and deposits. International reserves include special drawing rights of the IMF or SDRs, which amount to USD 462.3 million.
