How Much Will Georgia’s Top Officials Earn in 2027?

Georgia’s Finance Ministry has published the 2027 state budget draft, which provides for a GEL 1.2 billion increase in government appropriations to a record GEL 32 billion. Salaries for around 117,000 public servants will rise by GEL 316 million to GEL 3.73 billion, while the basic public-sector salary will increase by 8%, from GEL 1,600 to GEL 1,735 per month.

The salary increase will apply to all categories of public servants, including senior political officials in the executive and legislative branches. Officials’ salaries are calculated by multiplying the basic salary by a coefficient assigned to each position.

In 2027, the annual salaries of the president, prime minister and parliament speaker will each reach GEL 208,200, up by GEL 16,200 from 2026. Ministers will earn GEL 176,970 annually, an increase of GEL 13,770, while first deputy ministers will receive GEL 156,150, up by GEL 12,150. Deputy ministers’ salaries will rise to GEL 150,735, an increase of GEL 11,535.

The parliament speaker’s first deputy will earn GEL 191,544 annually (+GEL 14,904), while the speaker’s deputy will receive GEL 187,380 (+GEL 14,580). Committee chairs will earn GEL 178,452 (+GEL 13,332), first deputy committee chairs GEL 172,602 (+GEL 13,242), and deputy committee chairs GEL 170,634 (+GEL 13,194). Parliamentary faction chairs will receive GEL 176,970 (+GEL 13,770), their deputies GEL 168,507 (+GEL 12,987), and MPs GEL 166,560 annually (+GEL 12,960).
