GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared that he takes personal responsibility for the current government team, emphasizing that all ministers are expected to work with integrity and professionalism.
“Today, the government is represented by a specific team with specific people. I am personally responsible for the government team. I am personally responsible for the fact that each minister who works in the government today will act in good faith and with high professionalism. I am responsible for the relevant personnel decisions and activities,” Kobakhidze told journalists.
Asked about tensions between former and current members of the ruling team, Kobakhidze dismissed the issue, arguing that the opposition is the one facing collapse.
“While this conversation is going on, the entire opposition, including its parties, is collapsing – ‘Lelo’ is collapsing, ‘United National Movement’ is collapsing, and so on. When you ask questions only about the past, it confirms my belief that you have no questions about today and the current activities of the government,” Kobakhidze said.
