Ice-cream imports to Georgia increased in the first four months of 2026, while prices also rose significantly. According to official data, the country imported 312 tons of ice-cream worth $2.1 million in January–April 2026, compared to 339 tons worth $1.8 million in the same period of 2025.
While import value increased by 15.1%, the volume actually fell by 7.9%, indicating a clear rise in prices. On average, Georgia paid $6,900 per ton of ice-cream in 2026, up from $5,380 a year earlier, an increase of about 28.2%.
Turkey remains Georgia’s main supplier of ice cream, with imports totaling $641,000 and 75 tons. Ukraine ranks second with $419,000 and 98 tons, followed by France with $309,000 and 44 tons.
Other suppliers include Armenia, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Latvia, Bulgaria, and Belarus, each contributing smaller volumes to Georgia’s ice cream imports during the reporting period.
