In the first seven months of the current year, the imports of motor oils increased in Georgia, while aviation oil - decreased, - according to the Union of Oil Products Importers
According to the report, in January-July 2023, the imports of lubricants amounted to 13.23 thousand tons, which was 1.17 thousand tons or 9.7% more than the indicator of the same period of the previous year (12.06 thousand tons).
During this period, the largest volume of motor oils was imported from Turkey, which amounted to 2.79 thousand tons. It is 21.1% of all imports, followed by Iran - 2.74 thousand tons (20.7%); Germany - 1.50 thousand tons (11.3%), Azerbaijan - 0.82 thousand tons (6.2%); and others.
As for aviation oil, 67.1 thousand tons of goods entered the country in January-July 2023, which was 0.5 thousand tons or 0.7% less than the indicator of the same period of 2022 (67.6 thousand tons).
During 7 months of the current year, 44.1% (29.6 thousand tons) of aviation oil imports came from Turkmenistan, 25.8% (17.3 thousand tons) - Azerbaijan; 15.3% (10.3 thousand tons) - Greece, 10% (6.7 thousand tons) - Turkey, 4.8% (3.2 thousand tons) - Malta.
