In Armenia, there has been a significant increase in the production of copper concentrate in the first two months of 2024.
According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the volume of copper concentrate production for January-February amounted to 52,570.9 tons, which is 52.7% higher compared to the same period of the previous year.
In addition, zinc concentrate production also showed positive dynamics, increasing by 5.2% to 1,607.0 tons. Meanwhile, the volume of molybdenum concentrate production grew by 5.7%, reaching 3,081.2 tons.
However, it is worth noting that only 778.2 tons of ferromolybdenum were produced in the first two months of this year, which is 42% less than during the same period two years ago.
Earlier, BMG reported that the volume of production in the mining industry for the first two months of this year amounted to 70 billion drams (about 180 million dollars), decreasing by 3.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
