In January, Passenger Flow Up At Tbilisi And Batumi Airports, While Kutaisi Sees A Decline

Passenger flow at Georgia's international airports increased by 13% in January.

According to the Civil Aviation Agency, in the first month of 2025, Georgia's airports served a total of 530,546 passengers through regular and irregular flights, which was 13% more compared to the same period in 2024. Compared to the pre-pandemic period, the number of passengers at airports has increased by 63%.

In January, the number of passengers at Tbilisi International Airport increased by 20% y-o-y, which means that the airport received 343,740 passengers. There was also a 36% increase compared to January 2019.

The number of passengers at Batumi Airport showed a sharp annual increase of 96%. In January, the seaside city's airport served 57,129 passengers.

2025 started with a decline at Kutaisi International Airport. In January, Kutaisi Airport served 127,665 passengers, which was 16% less than in January 2024. It's noteworthy that this is the first January since 2022 when there was a decrease in passenger traffic at the airport.
