According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, from January to August 2024, the country saw significant growth in the production of certain types of metal concentrates.
The most notable progress was observed in copper concentrate production. Compared to the same period last year, production volumes increased by 11.4%, reaching 202,087.6 tons. Even more significant growth was seen in zinc concentrate production, which rose by 23.2%, with a total output of 7,019 tons.
However, not all sectors showed positive trends. Molybdenum concentrate production decreased by 29.3%, amounting to 11,407.7 tons. An even sharper decline was recorded in ferromolybdenum production, which fell by 44% compared to the first half of 2023, with total output at 2,932.8 tons.
