IndiGo, one of India’s largest airlines, will launch direct flights between Mumbai and Tbilisi starting August 2, 2025, according to an announcement from Georgia’s United Airports Association.

The new route will operate three times a week, expanding IndiGo’s existing service to Georgia and strengthening air connectivity between the two countries. Mumbai becomes the second Indian city after Delhi to be linked to Georgia via direct flights.

With the addition of the Mumbai-Tbilisi route, a total of 10 direct flights per week will now operate between India and Georgia. Until now, IndiGo has been running daily flights on the Delhi–Tbilisi–Delhi route.

The move reflects the growing interest and travel demand between the two countries. According to the United Airports Association, 56,241 passengers arrived in Georgia from India via direct flights during the first half of 2025, a 123% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The expansion of flight routes is expected to further boost tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange between India and Georgia.
