Inex Group Raises Shipping Tariffs From April 20 Amid Rising Fuel Costs

ინექსი

Logistics company Inex Group has announced an increase in international and domestic shipping tariffs, citing rising global fuel prices and higher airline service costs. The new rates will come into effect on April 20.

According to the company, price increases will apply to shipments from three key countries, while tariffs for other international destinations will remain unchanged for now. Shipping from the United States will rise to USD 9.7 per kilogram (from USD 8.5), the United Kingdom to GBP 7.5 (from GBP 6.5), and Spain to EUR 6.7 (from EUR 6). Discounted student rates will also increase accordingly.

Domestic shipping prices are also being adjusted. For parcels weighing up to 5 kilograms, the standard rate will be set at 7 GEL (6 GEL for special tariff). For shipments above 5 kilograms, the cost will be 1.5 GEL per kilogram under the standard tariff and 1.2 GEL under the discounted rate.

Inex Group says it attempted to maintain existing prices for as long as possible, but current market conditions made the increase unavoidable. The company expressed hope that the price hike will be temporary and that tariffs may return to previous levels in the future.
