According to the World Bank's "Armenia Monthly Economic Update – June 2024," inflation in Armenia decreased in May due to lower food prices.
The consumer price index fell by 0.3% in May compared to 0.7% in April.
"In May, there was a 2% drop in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and clothing and footwear became 1.3% cheaper. However, this decrease was partially offset by a 10% increase in transportation prices," noted World Bank experts.
