Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri issued an order to ensure the holding of free and safe 2024 parliamentary elections in a peaceful environment.
Based on the order, territorial police units will be dispatched to different districts. They will be responsible for preventing, revealing and responding to various law violations.
The order obliges police officers to observe the principle of political neutrality while performing their duties. Law enforcers are not allowed to be directly or indirectly involved in the support of any political party.
