The gross international reserves of South Caucasus countries show mixed dynamics. While Azerbaijan and Armenia are increasing their reserves, Georgia is experiencing the opposite trend.

According to data published by the portal banknews.am, Azerbaijan’s gross international reserves amounted to $11.74 billion in June 2024. This figure has shown a steady growth trend since November 2023.

In contrast, Georgia's situation looks different. In June 2024, Georgia's gross international reserves were recorded at $4.58 billion, indicating a gradual decline in this key macroeconomic indicator since November 2023.

Armenia’s gross international reserves have been on an upward trajectory. In June 2024, they were confirmed at $3.34 billion. Furthermore, since April of this year, Armenia has seen a trend towards increasing its gross international reserves.

Thus, the three key countries of the South Caucasus show divergent dynamics regarding their international reserves, reflecting the uneven economic processes in the region.
