Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, held a meeting with U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, according to a statement released by the Government Administration.
The discussion focused on U.S.-Georgia relations, Georgia’s strategic role in the region, and the current political climate in the country.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the Georgian government’s readiness to reset bilateral relations with the United States and revitalize the strategic partnership through a clear and actionable roadmap that delivers tangible results for both nations.
Particular emphasis was placed on Georgia’s important contribution to regional peace and stability, as well as its growing transit and economic potential. Prime Minister Kobakhidze highlighted that Georgia offers its international partners significant opportunities for access to large regional markets.
The conversation also addressed Georgia’s domestic political environment. The Prime Minister assured that political stability is maintained in the country, with the government fully committed to upholding and safeguarding this stability.
The meeting was also attended by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
