The National Tourism Administration presented the prospects of business tourism in Georgia to the largest Israeli airlines and tour operators. According to the administration, more than 100 representatives of the Israeli business sector and local media attended the presentation. Levan Japaridze, head of the administration's convention and exhibition bureau, noted that the main goal of the event was to raise awareness of Georgia on the international market and provide information about business activities.
"Our goal is to attract more business travelers from Israel to Georgia, as you know, they are quite high-spending visitors," said Japaridze.
Ambassador of Georgia to Israel Lasha Zhvania noted that there is high interest from Israeli tourist companies.
What is the trend of the influx of tourists from Israel to Georgia - according to the official data of the National Tourism Administration, the number of visits to the country from Israel this year is characterized by positive dynamics.
According to the data of 10 months, 179,197 visits were made by Israeli visitors to the country, which was 125.9% more than last year.
Amid the pandemic, 25,440 visits were made from Israel in 2020, and 79,326 in 2021.
