Georgia’s real estate sector attracted $168.5 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first six months of 2026, up by $37.1 million from $131.4 million in the same period last year.
According to data obtained by BMG from Geostat, Israel was the largest source of FDI at $33 million, followed by Russia with $26.6 million and the US with $26 million. Other major sources included Germany ($9 million), the UK ($8.2 million), Saudi Arabia ($7.6 million), Turkey ($6.4 million), Ukraine ($6 million), the British Virgin Islands ($5.7 million) and Switzerland ($4.7 million). The figure for Panama was withheld due to commercial confidentiality, while other countries accounted for $35 million.
Geostat withholds figures when an investment can be linked to a specific company from a particular country, as this could reveal commercially confidential information.
