Giorgi Mirtskhulava told TV-program Tsertili while commenting on the USD 126 million in foreign direct investments in Georgia’s energy sector in 2024.
“Energy is a very important sector for the country, which can bring huge investments. According to Geostat, FDI last year was 126 million USD, but if three projects - "Namakhvani", "Nenskra", "Khudoni" are implemented, it will already mean an investment of 5-6 billion USD. It is of utmost importance that the country can launch these three projects and develop other projects along with them. We do not have the luxury of refusing such large projects; especially since these three projects are important for the country's energy independence and, at the same time, are an invaluable mechanism for attracting investments to the country," said the managing partner of "Bemoni".
