Gocha Chkhaidze, the founder of company "Askaneli" declares, that labor force shortage is noticed in all segments, including the production process. The businessman cites emigration as the main reason for the challenge.
"It is quite difficult to find professional staff and highly qualified winemakers. We also have a problem in the engineering direction, from a technical point of view, there is a shortage of professional agronomists. Emigration is a very bad trend in our country, as the labor force is intensively flowing to other countries. However, despite all this, our company is growing, we look to the future with optimism", says Gocha Chkhaidze.
The founder of "Askaneli" also explains that, based on this challenge, the company has been providing education and training for professional staff in recent years. In addition, Gocha Chkhaidze draws attention to the importance of revising the salary policy.
"We need to create some motivation for these people to return from emigration by offering jobs and high salaries", says Gocha Chkhaidze, the founder of "Askaneli".
Company "Askaneli" was founded in 1998.The company owns hundreds of hectars of vineyards, two winemaking facilities in Kakheti and Tbilisi and one fruit distillery in Guria. In addition of producing more than 60 denominations of wine, company produces aged brandy, chacha and brut.
