Russia remains a major destination for Georgian beverages, accounting for 63.4% of wine exports, 42.4% of sweetened carbonated drinks, and 84.1% of mineral water exports in the first nine months of 2026, according to data from Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
Georgia exported wine worth $188.7 million during the period, of which $119.7 million went to Russia. Exports of sweetened carbonated drinks totaled $151.9 million, with 42.4% destined for the Russian market. Mineral water exports reached $140.7 million, of which 84.1% was sold in Russia.
The figures come as Russia has temporarily restricted imports of certain Georgian wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The affected products include wine from Teliani Valley, Tbilvino, Askaneli Brothers and Wineman; beer produced by Georgian Beer Company; Coca-Cola manufactured in Georgia; and Nabeglavi mineral water produced by Healthy Water.
BM.GE requested data from Geostat on companies exporting the largest quantities of beverages to Russia before the restrictions. Major wine exporters on the list include Badagoni, Kotekhi-Gurjaani Wine Cellar, Askaneli Brothers, Dugladze Wine Company and Shalvino. Mineral water exporters include IDS Borjomi, Healthy Wateri, Aqua Geo, Sairme Mineral Waters and Tsagveri. Sweetened carbonated beverage exporters include IDS Borjomi Georgia, Argo, Loads, RBM Trade and GTrade Hub.
Geostat also provided a list of the top 10 companies among Georgia’s largest exporters in 2025 and the first eight months of 2026. The list includes beverage producers such as IDS Borjomi Georgia, Badagoni, Kotekhi-Gurjaani Wine Cellar, Bolero & Company, Askaneli Brothers, Dugladze Wine Company, K and Georgian Spirits, Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking, Nuts Time and Union Export 2024. Geostat arranges the list randomly, meaning it does not indicate the relative export volumes of individual companies.
Georgia exported $187.7 million worth of spirits to all markets this year, of which $92.9 million, or 49.4%, went to Russia.
