Guram Sukhashvili, the founder of the Georgian natural products manufacturing company Jolie, says that this year the company is expanding its exporting markets.
According to Sukhashvili, the company already makes exports to the USA , while this year "Jolie" products will be represented in Gulf countries as well. Moreover, the company actively cooperates with "Tsiskvili Group", a local leading restaurant chain.
"Our products are sold in the USA. Last year, at the end of December, we joined the "Tsiskvili Group" in Georgia. At this time, the demand has increased 4 times, and due to the fact that we cannot produce the appropriate amount of products, we cannot cooperate with chain markets despite the high demand. This year, we plan to expand. We have orders from the Gulf countries and we have to produce products for them as well.
In the first stage, over 15,000 bottles of compote will be sent to the Gulf countries, and it is planned to export 10 trailers in two years, which means a total of 150,000 bottles, "said Sukhashvili.
According to the founder of the company, Jolie obtained grants from the agency "Enterprise Georgia" and USAID, which enabled them to expand the enterprise located in the village of Igoeti, re-equip it and increase its capacities. A total of GEL 300,000 GEL was invested in this project.
Guliashvili also talks about sectoral challenges and notes that there is a shortage of personnel in the enterprise. At this stage, 8 people are employed in the company, although it is planned to increase the number of employees to 15 for the next season.
Jolie produces jams, compotes and other products from natural raw materials.
