“Kachreti Winery” is preparing for a significant expansion of its production capacity. According to the company’s director, Natia Karichashvili, the winery is currently working on enlarging its infrastructure and increasing output to meet growing demand. The company has already planned the purchase of an additional 10-million-liter storage reservoir, which will substantially boost its production capabilities.
In parallel, the winery is expanding its barrel stock. Previously holding around 5,000 barrels, the winery now has more than 7,000, with an additional 5,000 barrels already ordered. Karichashvili notes that the company is actively developing this segment and also plans to add new stainless-steel tanks. Because these projects are still in progress, she says it is too early to specify the total investment value.
Located in the village of Kachreti in the Kakheti region, the winery traces its origins back to 1958, while the current operating company took over management in 2019. “Kachreti Winery” produces both traditional Kakhetian wines and varieties typical of western Georgia. Its portfolio includes wine, chacha, and brandy, and the company exports its products to several international markets, including the United States.
According to the business registry, 100% of Kachreti Winery is owned by Milada International LLC, whose owner is businessman Vakhtang Karichashvili, a dual citizen of Russia and Georgia. He is also the founder of Bolero & Company, one of the major groups in the alcoholic beverages industry.
