Tbilisi mayor Kakha Kaladze urges the municipal services of the Tbilisi City Hall to implement privatization plan and balance the budget deficit.
"We will continue to work in all direction for the next years, including infrastructure, transport policy, environment. In addition, we will continue to help the families who need it most. We will support implementation of health and social programs as much as possible. All these require resources, "- said Kakha Kaladze.
Vice-mayor has noted that amid pandemic, economic activity is low, revenues from the taxes are significantly reduced. According to him, the municipality will have to increase privatization plan and mobilize more assets for privatization.
"The spending part is running efficiently. We are following a plan that has been approved, but we have problems in the revenue sector. Economic activity is low due to the pandemic; revenues are declined from taxes as well. The municipality will have to increase privatization plan and mobilize more assets for privatization in order to fully respond to this year's financial challenges," Irakli Khmaladze noted.
