Kass Group CEO Ekaterine Tordia says Georgia’s main investment advantage is its untouched nature, but the country should expand beyond traditional tourism destinations and develop regions with unique landscapes and historical value.
Speaking to BMGTV’s program Tsertili, Tordia said Georgia should focus on combining authentic natural environments with safe and modern infrastructure. She noted that eco-tourism is becoming increasingly popular worldwide and that projects blending nature with innovative attractions can create new opportunities.
Tordia said Kass Group, an Israeli investment holding company operating in Georgia since 2016, has invested GEL 120 million in the country. She added that while Georgia remains attractive for Israeli tourists, foreign businesses often consider risks when investing abroad, and unique concepts are needed to encourage more investment.
According to Tordia, the main challenges for investors are public infrastructure issues and a shortage of qualified workers in the regions. She emphasized the importance of improving roads, utilities, and professional training, noting that 98% of employees at Kass Group’s Kass Land tourism complex in Tsalka are local residents.
