Kazakhstan Is Among Top 10 Trade Partners Of Georgia - Exports Up By 466%

Kazakhstan is among the ten largest trade partner countries of Georgia. In 2023, the trade turnover with this Central Asian country increased to a record USD 735 million 837 thousand, and such a figure was recorded for the first time in the history of trade between the countries. As a result, last year Kazakhstan took eighth place in the ranking of the largest trade partners with a 3.4% share.

Cars reclaimed the first-place in the list of export commodities. As of 2023, Georgia sold 39,896 vehicles with a total value of USD 591 million 856 thousand. Exports increased by 466.5% y-o-y. Kazakhstan is the second country after Kyrgyzstan in the ranking of car re-export countries, although Kyrgyzstan is ahead of Kazakhstan in terms of the value of exported cars, and more cars were sold in Kazakhstan.
