The fertilizer transportation volume from Batumi port is increasing. "Batumi Sea Port" and "KazPhosphate" have reached an agreement to increase the volume of ammophos cargo transportation through the Batumi seaport.
According to the port administration, this year the port will ensure the transportation of up to 50,000 tons of ammophos (fertilizer) belonging to "KazPhosphate". It should be noted that the export of Kazakh ammophos from Batumi seaport along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was first carried out in February 2025. Multimodal transportation was implemented to deliver this mineral fertilizer to Batumi. The first batch of Kazakh ammophos of 3000 tons was transported by Big-bag in early February.
It should be noted that the expansion of "KazAzot's" ammonium nitrate transportation from Batumi is also planned.
