Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said Georgia’s strong economic growth is driven by reforms across various sectors and the elimination of high-level corruption.

Georgia’s economy grew by 8% in July, bringing growth for the first seven months of 2026 to 7.9%. Kobakhidze attributed the performance to progress in logistics, transport, communications, energy, tourism and other sectors.

He also highlighted the government’s anti-corruption efforts, saying they have contributed to the improvement in economic growth compared with last year.

Kobakhidze said the government has eliminated corruption at the highest levels and will continue fighting corruption at all levels.
