Kobakhidze: Mariam Kvrivishvili’s China Visit Will Further Boost Trade Development

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili’s visit to China will further support the development of trade relations between the two countries. He made the remarks in response to journalists’ questions regarding the visit.

Kvrivishvili is currently in China with a government delegation, where she is expected to meet with Chinese officials and representatives of major companies. According to the Economy Ministry, discussions will focus on expanding bilateral cooperation.

Kobakhidze noted that ongoing negotiations between Georgia and China are centered on expanding the scope of their free trade agreement. He added that the minister’s visit will contribute to strengthening economic ties, although details will be clarified after talks are completed.

The Georgian delegation includes deputy ministers Genadi Arveladze and Irakli Nadareishvili, as well as senior officials from the State Oil and Gas Agency and “Enterprise Georgia.”
