Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, representing the ruling Georgian Dream government, has made his prediction.
He believes that the ruling party will receive more than 60% of the votes in the upcoming local self-government elections.
"According to our research, the party is expected to gain over 60% of the votes nationwide. As for our candidate for Tbilisi mayor, I believe they will receive significantly more than 60%, and we will have a strong majority both in the capital and across the entire country. We will win the mayoral elections in all 64 municipalities," Kobakhidze stated.
He also commented on voter turnout, noting that municipal elections are generally characterized by lower participation. However, Kobakhidze said that despite a partial boycott by some opposition parties, voter activity remains high.
