Wizz Air low-cost Air Company increased the number of its based aircrafts to four and launched Kutaisi-Copenhagen direct regular flights from December 15, the Union of Georgian Airports reported.
According to the Airports Union, the flights by AIRBUS 321neo aircraft to Denmar’s capital will be implemented two times per week.
The welcoming official ceremony was held at the Kutaisi International Airport on Saturday. General Director of the Airport Union Irakli Karkashadze, MP Zaza Lominadze and DMO Imereti Head Mariam Devidze attended the ceremony.
The first flight from Copenhagen carried 165 passengers on board. They received symbolic gifts.
No direct flights were carried out before between Georgia and the Kingdom of Denmark.
