Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Igor Akulov, Managing Director of Barclays Investment Bank.
The meeting focused on the current trends in international capital markets. Particular attention was paid to the progress achieved and planned measures for the development of the local capital market.
The Minister highlighted the strong interest shown by international investors in Georgian securities during the Eurobond refinancing process. It was also noted that Georgia plans to continue actively working in both local and international capital markets to diversify funding sources and expand the investor base.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, along with Irakli Kacharava, Department Head for Public Debt Management at the MOF.
