Latvia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity on the 18th anniversary of Russia’s military aggression against Georgia.
In a statement published on social media platform X, the Latvian Foreign Ministry condemned the occupation of Georgia’s regions and reiterated its position in support of the country’s internationally recognized borders.
“On the 18th anniversary of Russia’s aggression against Georgia, Latvia once again reaffirms its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and strongly condemns the occupation of South Ossetia and Abkhazia,” the ministry said.
Latvia added that it will continue supporting the Georgian people in their efforts against Russian occupying forces and their allies.
