Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accepted an invitation from his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, to visit Yerevan. The head of Russia's foreign ministry announced this today during a press conference in Moscow.
"I will certainly take advantage of the invitation to visit Yerevan, which Ararat Samvelovich confirmed today. We will also restore and maintain the regularity of dialogue between deputy foreign ministers," Lavrov noted.
The diplomat added that the two sides agreed to prepare a two-year consultation program between the foreign ministries of the two countries in the near future.
Sergey Lavrov's previous visit to Yerevan took place in November 2022.
