According to her, the law has a negative impact on Georgia's path to the European Union.
"The vast majority of Georgian people want to join the European Union. But the law on the transparency of foreign influence contradicts the main principles and values of the European Union, and has a negative impact on Georgia's path to the European Union.
We will consider all options and call on the [Georgian] government to return to its aspirations towards the European Union," wrote European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
