The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the Georgian Dream party is not concerned about whether opposition representatives will enter parliament. He emphasized that none of them are suited for parliamentary work in terms of party content or human resources.
“This issue is not of interest to us. None of the parties or their representatives would add value to parliament. You are aware of the parties in question and their representatives. We are referring to the National Movement and its various iterations. None are suitable for parliamentary work,” said Kobakhidze.
He added that the legitimacy of parliament is assured regardless of the opposition’s participation.
“It’s up to them whether they choose to enter or not. We will not spend our time on it. Parliament will remain legitimate. They cannot repeat the same processes that occurred four years ago, which harmed our country’s interests. They cannot do it again. Whether they choose to come in or not is their decision,” Kobakhidze concluded.
