Lithuania's parliament has backed a ban on gambling advertising, the Lithuanian state broadcaster has said.
The amendment to the law on gambling was supported by 105 deputies at a parliamentary hearing on Thursday, while 14 were against it.
Under the legislative changes, companies holding gambling licenses will no longer be allowed to hold promotional raffles, distribute free chips, offer special discounts or gifts to users, and place advertisements.
The new law will come into force on July 1.
